Chassis Cab is a family run business that holds the award winning DAF Truck franchise for East Anglia.

Chassis Cab aims to provide our customers with a first class, reliable service, which reflects our standing as market leader as a main dealer for the supply of DAF Truck and in the provision of a second to none after sales.

Due to Company growth an exciting opportunity has become available and we are looking to recruit an Apprentice Service Advisor at our depot in Fenstanton. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate who will be a great addition to our team.

The Role:

We are looking for an Apprentice Customer Service Administrator, you will be the first-person customers meet, front of house.

The apprenticeship program allows you to work full time and can earn as you learn. Putting theory into practice within the HGV industry environment.

Being able to have a conversation with customers in a professional manner is important. You will shadow qualified members of staff so that you are able to learn first-hand how to undertake the role. You will also get the opportunity to assist in activities once you pass your assessments and progress through the apprenticeship you will be able to start completing tasks on your own.

  • Office systems, administration skills and using bespoke computerised systems.
  • The ability to gather technical information and relay it in a way that customers can understand.
  • The ability to confidently use Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word as well as email packages.
  • Be a strong confident communicator.

You will be working towards Level 3 in Service Advisor Apprenticeship with Skillnet. The level 3 Service Advisor apprenticeship programme is a bespoke programme developed specifically to ensure that you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a Service Advisor within the automotive industry.

Over the duration of 18 months, you will receive a combination of face to face workplace visits with our specialist Skills Coaches, virtual classroom masterclass teaching seminars, workplace coaching and mentoring and online training and support.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You must have grades at National 4 or above in English and Maths. Business Management / Computing Science / Admin is also preferred but not essential.

  • Be able to work on your own as well as being a team player.
  • A can-do attitude prepared to help in a willing and positive manner.
  • Able to work in a busy office environment.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
